TORONTO, ONTARIO - (Marketwire - Feb. 20, 2008) - Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX.UN) is pleased to announce plans to open a new ten-screen Galaxy Cinema in Red Deer, Alberta. The theatre is currently being constructed and is expected to open in March of 2008. Located in Liberty Park on the west side of Gasoline Alley, Galaxy Cinemas Red Deer will occupy approximately 43,000 square feet of space and will offer a first class entertainment experience.

Galaxy Cinemas Red Deer will feature 2,000 all-stadium seats, wall-to-wall, giant, curved screens; large, luxurious seats with ample legroom; and Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Digital pre show projectors will enable us to show a variety of alternative programming that could include opera performances, pro hockey games and concerts live via satellite. In addition, the theatre will feature an interactive games area, a party room and automated ticketing kiosks. The refreshment selection is very broad including Outtakes that will offer Pizza Pizza, fresh cut fries, chicken tenders and nachos. There will be TCBY frozen yoghurt as well as all the must-have movie fare including popcorn, soft drinks and a variety of other offerings sure to satisfy everyone's appetite.
