PM Competition Now Open!

The EPMA is proud to announce the launch of its prestigious annual 'Awards for Excellence in Powder Metallurgy'.

Over the years these awards have done much to promote and stimulate interest in PM technology and we hope that all EPMA members will seriously consider submitting an entry. The awards honour major achievements in either successful commercialisation of a product, material, equipment or process OR innovation in PM. The competition is FREE and exclusive to EPMA members.

There are three European awards comprising the categories below and one International award for all categories:
* Components: covering all types of PM products: structural parts, bearings, hardmetals, wear and corrosion resistant parts, PM semi products, metal injected moulded parts etc.
* Materials: powder based materials evaluated on the basis of their properties
* Production Equipment: presses, furnaces, tooling etc.
* International PM Award: (submissions accepted from all categories above) for EPMA member companies operating outside Europe

Benefits for entrants include:
* All entries will be displayed in the EPMA Showcase at the Euro PM 2008 Exhibition
* All entries will be featured in the 2008 Awards booklet
* A framed award will be presented to each winner at a special Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, 30th September during the Euro PM 2008 Congress and Exhibition in Mannheim, Germany. During the luncheon a short video
* A short video of each prize winner will be shown at the Awards Luncheon
* Extensive press coverage will be given to Award winners in the international journal "Powder Metallurgy", the EPMA Newsletter and additional PM industry titles
* Award winners will be promoted on the EPMA website
