Dept. of Energy Officials to Address the National Electricity Delivery Forum

This week, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Under Secretary Bud Albright and Assistant Secretary for Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability Kevin Kolevar will deliver remarks during the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissions Annual Winter Meeting. Assistant Secretary Kolevar will deliver remarks tomorrow, Wednesday, February 20, 2008, and is expected to discuss the Department's ongoing effort to modernize the nation's electric grid and enhance the security and reliability of our energy infrastructure. Under Secretary Albright is scheduled to deliver keynote closing remarks on Thursday, February 21, 2008, and is expected to highlight the Administration's commitment to meeting the rapidly growing demand for energy through the development and deployment of clean energy technologies.

The Forum, sponsored by DOE and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, is a venue for state and federal officials, industry executives, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and discuss current and future needs to modernize the nation's electricity delivery system.
