Human Rights Organization Reports Two Arrested, Four Killed in Bhutan

S.B.Subba, Chairman of the Human Rights Organization of Bhutan reports two Communist Party of Bhutan members were arrested by the Bhutan government and their whereabouts is unknown.
The report says "In addition to the arrest of six Communist Party of Bhutan (MLM) members on 5-7 February 2008, two more were arrested on 15 February 2008 at Nunai, Daifaim, in the Sampdrupzongkhar district and their whereabouts is not known."
The names of those arrested are Aita Raj Rai and Sunman Gurung.
It was earlier reported that four cadres were arrested and brutally killed by the Royal Bhutan Police or Army. Their identities are not known and the Bhutan government has not reported their status.
Subba appealed to those holding the two men, that they should be treated humanely, according to international norms and conditions, without torture.
