WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone Delivers New Online Experience With Synacor's Portal Technology and Premium Content

Synacor, an Internet tools and portal company for the cable and telecom industries, is working with WOW! to deliver a more personalized and advanced online experience to WOW!'s Internet customers in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. WOW! customers will continue to have access to extensive premium online variety, music and security content, and will now enjoy a more personalized graphical user interface on their WOW! portal homepage -- http://portal.wowway.net.

WOW!, an existing Synacor customer, has deployed the technology provider's recently enhanced portal platform as the foundation of its online services. The portal features single sign-on authentication which will allow consumers to gain immediate access to all of their online content, email and premium services with a single username and password. Additionally, the portal offers a new drag-and-drop feature on the homepage that will enable quick identification of -- and access to -- the free content features such as the latest news, customized television listings, weather forecasts, and entertainment. The portal also features "@ The WaterCooler", a new pop culture component that will deliver up-to-the-minute "buzz" on topical broadband content such as video, games and music.

Security features a suite of security products from F-Secure and enhanced WOW! Music offers access to more than three million songs.

Synacor has also built in additional back-office support functionality into its portal platform that will give WOW! the option to provide secure aggregated billing solutions to its premium content customers.
