Record-Breaking International IC-China Conference & Exhibition to Feature Over 1,400 Booths in 2008 -- up 34 Percent Year-on-Year

expected to offer engineers a record-breaking 1,400 booths in 2008 -- up 34
percent over 2007. The company plans to expand the event schedule for IIC-
China from four times in 2008 to seven in 2009.

In 2008, Global Sources expects to expand its successful Shenzhen,

Building on the successful 2007 debut of the event's Components Pavilion
in Shenzhen, IIC-China is featuring a larger Components Pavilion in Shenzhen
in 2008, plus two new locations inChengdu andShanghai. Total Components
Pavilion booths are expected to top 300, up 142 percent year-on-year.
IIC-China Supports Robust MainlandChina Electronics Industry Growth with
2009 Expansion
Saunderson continues: "Mainland China's electronics industry remains
robust despite the US-led economic slowdown.
"Research firm, Euromonitor International forecasts consumption of
high-street electronics to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 14 percent,
reaching $151 billion in 2011 and iSuppli's IC Insights places mainland
China's chip consumption at $100-billion by 2010.

Wuhan's electronics industry alone grew 58 percent in 2007.
