Village Inn Completely Transforms Its Wheat Ridge Restaurant With Contemporary Interior, Exterior and New Amenities

Restaurant Will Feature New Retro-Modern Look, Free Wi-Fi, Flat Screen Televisions and More Than 40 New Menu Items

Today VICORP Restaurants, Inc., owner of Village Inn restaurants, will introduce a new restaurant prototype featuring a retro-modern design and more than 40 new menu items at the grand re-opening of its Village Inn restaurant at 4775 Kipling St. in Wheat Ridge, Colo.

After a major renovation, the restaurant features a new look and feel that's a complete departure from Village Inn's 53 other Colorado restaurants. The contemporary exterior and interior feature bright colors, playful design elements, vintage artifacts and a retro-modern vibe that celebrates Village Inn's 50-year history. New amenities include a barista bar designed for guests seeking a good cup of coffee, latte or even a quick bite to eat. For students or business diners, the newly remodeled Village Inn will offer free Wi-Fi Internet connectivity and feature several flat screen televisions.

The restaurant's menu includes significant updates and more than 40 new menu offerings demonstrating Village Inn's commitment to menu innovation and food quality. Some examples include Crush Burgers, which are hand crushed Angus patties made with fresh ingredients; south of the border breakfasts served with authentic Albuquerque green chili and three new steak dishes served with homemade buttermilk mashed potatoes.

Village Inn also is bringing back several of its most well-known items from the early years including its Pigs-N-Blanket, Pecan Pancakes and T-Bone & Eggs. In addition, the restaurant's dessert menu has expanded to include molten brownies, specialty cakes, ice cream crepes and PieScreams, which are milk shakes made with a blend of vanilla cream, sweet ingredients and a half slice of pie.

Village Inn's signature dishes, for which it's known, like one-of-a-kind skillets and made-from-scratch pancakes will compliment the new menu items along with traditional lunch and dinner fare, and its award-winning pies.

"Right now, our industry is extremely competitive and it is more important than ever to stay relevant with our guests, especially at an affordable price-point," said Jeff Guido, president of Village Inn restaurants. "Not only does this new prototype meet the growing needs of our guests with the barista bar, free Wi-Fi and new menu items but we feel it has broad appeal to everyone from families, to students, to business diners. And of course we will continue to provide the friendly service, wholesome food and inviting atmosphere that our guests have come to know and expect from us."

Founded in 1958, Village Inn is known not only for its strong breakfast heritage, but is proud to serve 'The Best Pie in America®.' In 2007, Village Inn won 10 blue ribbons in the American Pie Council's National Pie Championship. Village Inn's most popular pie flavors include French Silk, Country Apple, Banana Cream, Pumpkin, Cherry, Coconut Cream and Carmel Pecan Silk Supreme.

The newly remodeled Village Inn restaurant, located at 4775 Kipling Street, will serve guests from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and the location is open 24 hours Friday and Saturday. For more information, please call 303-420-9792 or visit www.VillageInn.com.
