Airbus Selects Goodrich for A320 Family Cabin Attendant Seats
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --(Singapore Airshow)--
Airbus has selected Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) to provide cabin attendant
seats for the A320 Family of aircraft. The award is expected to generate
$100 million in revenue to support new production aircraft, retrofit sales and
spares over the life of the program. With this new contract, Goodrich cabin
attendant seats are featured on the entire family of Airbus aircraft including
the A300, A330, A340 and A380.
The seats will be produced by Goodrich Interiors' facility inColorado
Springs, Colorado. Design and development work will commence in the first
quarter of 2008, and production deliveries are scheduled to start in the third
quarter 2008.
The 16G single-aisle cabin attendant seats incorporate improvements in
reliability and safety, and meet the most stringent government regulations for
emergency landing protection. Seats will be installed on new production A320
Family aircraft; in addition, airlines may choose to retrofit fleet aircraft
with the improved seats.

Airbus has more than 2,500 A320 Family aircraft on order for delivery
between 2008 and 2017. Currently, more than 3,300 A320 Family aircraft are in
service worldwide. Other Goodrich content on the A320 includes nacelle
systems, flight controls, wheels and brakes, engine components, electrical
generation equipment, air data sensors and systems, ice detection and
protection systems, heated floor panels and lighting systems.
