Secretary of State Kenney Attends Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church's Dedication Ceremony
RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO - (Marketwire - Feb. 15, 2008) - The Honourable Jason Kenney, Secretary of State (Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity), will attend the Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church Dedication and Anniversary Ceremony to celebrate the expansion of Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church.
"I applaud the work of the Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church in reaching out and involving your community," said Secretary of State Kenney. "Our Government is proud to take this opportunity to recognize and celebrate the value of community engagement."
The evangelical and multilingual Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church was founded in 1975 by Rev. Dr. John Kao. The growth of the congregation over the past 20 years has required the church to undertake a third expansion. Andrew Baczynski is the chief architect for the project.
The Government of Canada is committed to reaching out to all Canadians and is developing lasting relationships with ethnic and religious communities in Canada. It encourages these communities to participate fully in Canadian society by enhancing their level of economic, social, and cultural integration.
