Black History Month Display at the Automotive Hall of Fame

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Automotive Hall of Fame celebrates Black History Month with a special exhibit: "African-Americans in the Automotive Industry" on display now through February.

Working in collaboration with "African-Americans on Wheels" magazine, this exhibit celebrates the inventors, pioneers and major contributions of African-Americans to the automotive industry, many of which have been largely overlooked.

"One of our primary missions is to inspire young people," says Jeffrey Leestma, Automotive Hall of Fame President. "And we do that by focusing on the accomplishments of those who have come before us."

The Automotive Hall of Fame is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission prices are adults $6, seniors (62 and older) $5, and youth (5-18) $3. Group rates are $4 per person for groups of 15 or more with advance reservations. The Automotive Hall of Fame offers a free educational field trip to local schools; reservations are required. Call (313) 240-4000 ext. 228 for your group or school reservation.

The Automotive Hall of Fame is located at 21400 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, Michigan, adjacent to Henry Ford Museum.
