-Host Camilo Egaña Attracts Record Audience for MEGA TV in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale -

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) (NASDAQ:SBSA) and MEGA TV Channel 22 announced today that "Raíces y Recuerdos" ("Roots and Memories") recorded the highest rating for any program in the young history of the station. Hosted by renowned journalist, Camilo Egaña, the show delivered an NHSI household rating of 9.1 and a 14 share from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM time period on February 10 in the Miami -Fort Lauderdale DMA. The show surpassed those of 11 other television stations in the area, including those that broadcast in English and are local affiliates of national television stations.

"Raíces y Recuerdos" also recorded higher ratings than the Grammys among Hispanics, which came in second during the time period, illustrating MEGA TV's increasing popularity with Latin American audiences.

Launched just two years ago in Miami, MEGA TV is considered to be the fastest growing television station in the history of the South Florida market. With programming that is fresh, young and highly creative, MEGA TV is bringing together talents of all nationalities to offer its audience a variety of perspectives on the leading issues that matter to them the most. For all its hard work and success, MEGA TV programs were nominated for 18 EMMY Awards in the first nine months of the station's existence.

"Raíces y Recuerdos" is a look into the past that is designed to invoke feelings of nostalgia in older generations, while inspiring younger generations to learn more about their culture, history and customs. Egaña is perfectly suited for this show because he has an incredible talent for story telling, which he realized at the young age of 12. With more than 20 years of experience, he believes, like Hemingway, that life is better lived when it is told as a story or lived as if it was a story to be told.

Do not miss "Raíces y Recuerdos" every Sunday at 9:00 PM EST on WSBS - MEGA TV Channel 22 and at 6:00 PM PST on DirecTV Channel 405 - your favorite stations.
