Corn Utilization and Technology Conference Offers Learning, Networking Experience

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- With a theme of "Corn: New Horizons," the 2008 Corn Utilization and Technology Conference (CUTC) will emphasize the importance of identifying the next generation of technologies to sustain corn as nature's feedstock of the future. Presented by the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), CUTC has been expanded to include new topics that will be of value to many audiences, such as ethanol producers and livestock interests. The event will be held in Kansas City, Mo., June 2-4. Registration is open.

"Now, more than ever before, it's extremely important to see new technologies in the pipeline," said CUTC Session Chairman Fred Yoder. "We anticipate record attendance and are thrilled to be offering an expanded portfolio of technology. Attendees will be impressed by all of the possibilities that are on the horizon."

Presented every two years, the conference has been increasingly recognized as a premier networking and learning event. Attendees will have the chance to meet with hundreds of valuable business contacts, identify potential new customers, and learn how new technologies will enhance the value of corn. CUTC will also offer exhibitors presenting new technologies and equipment and a poster session

The CUTC poster session will provide researchers a chance to interact with peers and showcase research to a broad range of the corn industry. Technical posters will be judged throughout the conference by committee members from various corn processing industries, academic institutions and government scientists. NCGA will present the CUTC Outstanding Poster Award to support and encourage new researchers. First, second and third place winners will be announced at the conclusion of the conference. Technical posters will be accepted through March 31.

"The poster session provides a unique opportunity to interact with colleagues in a fun, social setting and to see the latest technology being developed for the corn industry," said CUTC Poster Session Chairman Nathan Danielson.

CUTC will be held at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown in Kansas City, Mo. Visit www.corntechconf.org for more information and to register online.
