Billy Craig Live On Radio Thursday Feb. 7th
Billy Craig has been busy these days with his new release This Side of Somewhere featuring 14 of his original compositions. The recording started out at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis where Johnny Cash began his recording career and finishing the process in the Metro Detroit area.
He and his team at All Things Media have been contacting radio stations, TV stations and Print media all across the country and around the globe. . .getting great feedback and responses with stations in Michigan pushing the project as well as in Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. They are all giving away CD's on air with call-in interviews. There are also stations in England, Italy and Australia with airplay.
Billy is no stranger to the music industry, he's been kicking it around for some time now. In fact, since childhood Billy has performed in thousands of shows. From solo performances to cover and original bands, from jazz and country to rock, he has played in front of audiences of up to 25,000 across the USA and abroad, including New York, California, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Detroit, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
As one of the founding members of a Detroit based band he co-wrote songs receiving heavy radio play in Southeast Michigan on both WRIF and WLLZ in the Detroit metro market and as far west as Sacramento, California.
He has been getting interest from Nashville being contacted by major management and PR firms with a music publisher in LA shopping his material to the major networks and movie production companies.
His present focus is his own original project, which he dubs a "folkrockcountry" kind of thing . . . and going deeper into the country genre, he's looking forward to starting pre-production on his follow-up CD due out next fall.
Billy will be performing live on the Mitch Albom Radio Show WJR right here in Detroit. With drummer Moe O'Shaughnessy and bassist Jim Duffey he will be playing songs from his latest CD release This Side of Somewhere .
Mitch's syndicated show is heard by millions across America but if you can't find it on the dial just go to www.wjr.com Click the Listen Live button. The 2 hour show start's at 5:06 Detroit time.
