Four51's Latest Release Enables SAP Integration and Enhances Security of the Four51 E-Commerce Platform

New Features Tackle Long-Standing Workflow Inefficiencies in the Print Distribution Market

Four51, Inc., a leading e-commerce platform for indirect goods, announced today that its latest technology update, Release Seven, has been deployed and offers seamless integration of the Four51 e-commerce platform and SAP's back-office software for small and midsize companies, SAP Business One.

Users will benefit from a complete end-to-end solution that streamlines workflow, provides enterprise-wide information in real-time and eliminates order processing inefficiencies that have plagued the print distribution industry. Other new features augment the security of all information on the Four51 network. These features include required elevated password security standards for all administrative users, systematic password changes every 90 days and the inability to re-use the previous four passwords.

In addition, Release Seven marks Four51's adoption of reference transactions, which will use reference numbers from existing credit card transactions instead of using the actual credit card number each time a transaction is processed. Four51 is taking the precautions necessary to ensure the privacy and safety of the information belonging to its 650,000-plus users, a group that is growing by approximately 1,000 users per day.

Besides enhanced security for all users, the latest technology release includes reporting updates and the addition of variants based on selection specs. This will enable Four51's distributors/administrators to track inventory and a unique product ID for all combinations of variables for a product, while keeping the buyer user experience the same by presenting the buyer with drop down lists. Release Seven was deployed successfully on January 31, 2008.
