ALS Therapeutics Reviewed by NeuroInvestment

NI Research has released the February issue of
NeuroInvestment. The issue features a review of ALS, and the search for
genuinely useful therapeutics for the treatment of this devastating
illness. Just as Alzheimer's lyses memory, and schizophrenia dissolves the
personality, ALS gradually destroys muscle control, leaving patients almost
invariably doomed to death from respiratory failure.
The contents of the February NeuroInvestment include:
1) The ALS programs covered in the review include those from Sangamo
Biosciences, Ceregene, CytRx, Ruxton Pharmaceuticals, Trophos,
Cambria Bioscience, Ono, Oxford Biomedica, NeuroNova, and Knopp
Neuroscience.
2) A review of Sangamo Biosciences, whose innovative platform also
addresses diabetic neuropathy and glioblastoma.
3) A pointed assessment of Medivation's Phase III plans for Dimebon
4) Commentary on Epix's Alzheimer's data embarrassment
5) Commentary on Lundbeck and Paion's stroke deal, Alzheimer's and
Enbrel, and some remarkable and recent assertions from the CEOs
of Shire Pharmaceuticals and Cephalon
