Folsom 2008 State of The City Presentation to the Chamber of Commerce

City of Folsom Mayor, Eric King outlined Folsom's achievements in his report to Chamber of Commerce members at the "State of the City" luncheon. The luncheon was held January 24th at the Lake Natoma Inn.

After the usual Chamber formalities, Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Gagliardi introduced the Mayor.

The City of Folsom has many great achievements to its name and the Mayor presented them well.

The main points included Financial highlights, Police, Fire, Public Works, Utilities, Parks and Recreation, Libraries, Education and City use of Information Technology.

Finally the Mayor talked about the Folsom Sphere of Influence and Community Development coming up in the coming year.

The Mayor noted that for two successive years, the City of Folsom has been recognized as one of Business Week's "25 Best Affordable Cities in the US," one of only two in California.
