Police Foil Militant Plan to Disrupt India's Republic Day Function

Srinagar, Jan 24: Police today claimed to have foiled militant plans to disrupt India's Republic Day celebrations in Kashmir by busting a module of Hizbul Mujahideen and arresting two top militants.
A top police officer of South Kashmir, Abdul Gani Mir told NewsBlaze that police arrested two Hizbul militants with 8 kilograms of RDX, two remote controlled devices and mobile phone from South Kashmir.
He claimed that the arrested militants along with their associates were planning a major strike in town to disrupt Republic Day celebrations.
He revealed that the apprehended militants had been arrested earlier also and had served sentences under PSAs after which they were released by the court.
He claimed that these released militants who were working as shopkeepers had again recycled into militancy and were acting as the "sleeper cells" of HM outfit.
