Bremer Bank to Begin Image Exchange With Viewpointe's Pointe2Pointe Solution

NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Viewpointe, the leading provider of check image and Check 21-related services, announced today that Bremer Bank, St. Paul, Minn., has become the latest financial institution to become a Viewpointe Pointe2Pointe(tm) customer. Using the Viewpointe image exchange solution, Bremer Bank, a privately held, $6.8 billion regional financial services company, will be able to connect to all of the nation's endpoints and exchange images with Viewpointe's customers.

By adopting Viewpointe's Pointe2Pointe services, Bremer will be able to safely send and receive electronic check images, rather than paper, to Viewpointe's national archive customers and other Pointe2Pointe customers, which include some of the nation's largest check processors. Pointe2Pointe makes it possible for financial institutions to connect with other banks generally in just 30-60 days following telecommunications installation and simple testing to ensure a consistent transmission of images. After testing, organizations can safely and reliably exchange images with additional financial institutions in as little as 14 days.

As a result of joining Viewpointe, Bremer will immediately become a member of the Viewpointe User Group, an organization of Viewpointe customers that meet to discuss best practices, set standards for image exchange and help drive the industry toward full check electronification.
