Wind in The Willows Actors Needed for Folsom's Stage Nine Theater
By Alan Gray, NewBlaze
Folsom's Stage Nine Theater is preparing for a new show, "Wind in the Willows" adapted for stage by Richard Hellesen, with Music and Lyrics by Michael Silversher, Directed by Allen Schmeltz and Musical Assistance by Chris Schlagel.
Many roles are already cast, but the director is still looking for actors. One male and two female roles are open. All three require singing and each plays 5-6 different characters.
Director Allen Schmeltz says "Actors of any age from late teen to adult will be considered." Contact Allen at (916) 646-9459 or email allen@allensproductions.com with a head shot and resume.
Performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30pm beginning March 8 through April 20. There will be no performance on the Easter weekend.
There may be some morning performances for school groups during the run but they will be limited to no more than once a week, based on the availibility of the actors.
Rehearsals are typically Sunday through Thursday evenings beginning as early as possible. Rehearsals start about four weeks before opening.
Allen says that minor conflicts with rehearsals can usually be accommodated; however, there can be no conflicts on tech week, March 2-7, and the show will not be double cast so you must be able to make all performances.
