Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto Assassinated
Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday in a suicide bombing that also killed at least 20 others at a campaign rally, a party aide and a military official said.
Opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was seriously injured and was undergoing surgery Thursday after she was wounded in a suicide attack that killed at least 20 other people, a party aide said.
Safdar Abbasi said Bhutto was hit in the bomb blast.
``BB is serious and she is in the operating theater,'' he told The Associated Press. Other top leaders of Bhutto's party were at the Rawalpindi General Hospital, crying.
