By Fayaz Wani
Srinagar, Dec 26: The frontline Kashmiri militant group, Hizbul Mujahideen has said that the armed struggle against India will continue in Kashmir.
A spokesman of the group, quoting its chief commander, Syed Salah-ud-Din said that the armed struggle against India will continue. He lauded the courage of three Hizbul militants, who were holed up in a mosque in Kashmir, and were killed in gunfight with Indian police commandos.
Paying rich tributes to the trio, the Hizbul chief said that the militant group is ready to give every sacrifice to continue the freedom struggle. "The mission of the martyrs would be taken to its logical conclusion", he said.
The spokesman of group, Junaid-ul-Islam in a tele-statement to a local news agency in Srinagar said that the three militants preferred death over surrender and this has made it clear to the world that Kashmiri militants are courageous and have not been demoralized. "The armed struggle began 17 years back and would continue till people of Kashmir are granted their right to determine their fate", he added.
