A grassroots movement allowing conservatives to cast their vote to award Republican politicians a “RINO Award” has announced the top winners! Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani, a clear frontrunner among the 14 nominees, came in first garnering 29 percent of the vote!

Senator Arlen Spector (R-PA) came in second with 19 percent and Senator and Presidential Candidate John McCain (R-AZ) and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (CA) rounded up the top four with 9 and 7 percent respectively.

We the People for President created the website for conservatives to vote for their favorite RINO (Republican in Name Only). The Top RINO Awards are the first of their kind, where we the people across America, ourselves, determine who receives an actual RINO award. For their achievement, all RINOs will receive a beautiful gold rhino statue to accent his/her plush home or office.

Giuliani swept all but one of the special recognition award categories: Most Likely to Drive a Bridge to Nowhere to Work (22 percent), Most Likely to Don a Tinfoil Hat (21 percent), Most Likely to Carry an ACLU Card in his Wallet (24 percent), Most Likely to Attend a Barbara Streisand Concert (28 percent), Most Likely to have a Barak Obama Poster in their Bedroom (21 percent), and the Most Likely to Drive Ted Kennedy Home from an Evening Out (22 percent).

Giuliani was cited by his voters for his progressive stance on social issues and his ability to break with the Republican Party on several key issues. One voter wrote “My favourite RINO is Rudy…because he is our best choice to beat Hillary. Real Republicans don’t care about silly little stuff like abortion and family values anyway.” Another voter wrote “Every position he holds is the exact opposite of the Republican Party’s platform.”

Dubbed the “King of RINOs” by one voter, Spector was credited with his positions on abortion, immigration, judicial appointments and his adherence to Scottish law by voters whose support put him in second place as their favorite RINO.

“Senator Spector has been a RINO for so long he deserves to win,” wrote one voter. Another voter agreed. “He invented RINO; he owns the copyright to RINO.”

Others cited his tireless work with the Democratic Party as their reason for casting their vote in favor of Spector. “He reports directly to Harry Reid,” wrote one voter.

Voters who selected Presidential Candidate and Senator John McCain based their decision on McCain’s years of service as an incumbent and his ability to easily cross party lines and side with Democrats. One voter called him the “closest friend to Ted Kennedy.” Another voter believes McCain “has more clout to do more damage than others.”

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who received the special recognition of Most Likely to Get a $400 Haircut (21 percent), was viewed by voters as more progressive than conservative. One voter opted for Schwarzenegger because he “consistently does the work of a liberal.” Another wrote “he only appoints Democrats and doesn’t even bother to listen to real Republicans.”

Some voters, however, had a difficult time selecting their favorite RINO. One voter claimed “one is bad as the other.” Another voter believed all of the candidates were “poster adults for all that is wrong with the politburo and why people have become disgruntled with it.”

By popular demand, We the People for President, allowed voters to nominate new RINOs for future RINO awards. Voters nominated candidates such as Sen. Susan Collins, Sen. George Voinovich, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and George W. Bush as possible future recipients of the RINO award.

The following Republican winners will receive their awards in the next few days:
