Historic Furniture Industry Giant, Huffman Koos, is Reborn
RIVER EDGE, N.J. (EWORLDWIRE) Dec 21, 2007
The Huffman Koos' Brand, with its legendary reputation for quality and value, has been brought back to life by launching as a complete wholesale furniture line. "We are obsessed with the details," said Huffman Koos' President Anthony Mehran. "Huffman Koos' designers and quality control agents span the world to ensure our retail partners deliver nothing less than total satisfaction to their customers."
Huffman Koos' state-of-the-art distribution center in Passaic, N.J., managed by Brian Higgins, allows Huffman Koos to respond quickly to retailers. "We are ramping up production and distribution while expanding the line with new introductions when most furniture companies are scaling back or are moving into liquidation," said Ralph Menasher, Huffman Koos' purchasing manager.
To meet its bold growth goals along the entire East Coast, Huffman Koos has put together an outstanding salesforce led by some of the most seasoned reps in the industry for the North East and is actively pursuing additional professionals. Mehran pointed out, "Our teams are focusing on mid to mid-upper retailers that understand the need for having a competitive edge. It's the only way to succeed - let alone outshine - in an almost endless sea of competition."
Said Stephen Deo, Huffman Koos wholesale division manager, "The introduction of our Huffman Koos Gallery has been received very well by our retail partners, and we will continue to concentrate on building a strong network of galleries."
According to Mehran, the company's entire advertising and marketing department is constantly developing and refining the marketing strategy and providing all the tools that retail partners need to succeed in promoting the Huffman Koos brand, including product and sales training. Professionally designed outdoor signage plans and point-of-purchase materials including hang tags, posters, banners, price tags and product specification materials are designed for Huffman Koos Gallery partners, to educate consumer about what it really means to own quality furniture.
Huffman Koos has acquired a 14,000 sq. ft. showroom located at 209 North Main Street for the semi-annual High Point Market. "We are watching the Las Vegas Market very closely but will not participate until we feel completely comfortable with making sure our East Coast customers will not be adversely affected by expansion," said Mehran. "We are taking our time and building our network carefully with an emphasis on outstanding service."
