Urge FDA to Test Cosmetic Ingredients. No Lead in Our Lipstick!

Every morning, millions of women and teenage girls could be putting their health at risk as they unknowingly expose themselves to toxins - including lead - that may lead to reproductive birth defects, infertility and cancer.

The laundry list of toxins commonly found in cosmetics goes on and on. According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, of all the chemicals used in cosmetics, nearly nine hundred are toxic.

In fact, about 450 ingredients that are used in the U.S. are banned for use in cosmetics in the European Union.

Personal care products like shampoo, conditioner, after shave, lotion and makeup are not regulated by the FDA or any other government agency. Most readily available makeup is loaded with chemicals that are either untested for long-term effects on your health, or have already been proven to have potentially harmful qualities. Take Action>>

The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety of our products - but this just simply isn't happening.

Tell Congress we want the FDA to test and regulate the ingredients put in cosmetics.
