Russian Elections Not Secure, Disallow "None of the Above"
By Alan Gray, NewsBlaze
A russian student today admitted running an experiment to discover the legitimacy of the Russian election system.
The elections gave her a chance to vote for the future of her country for the next four years. Voting is not only the right of citizens, it is an obligation, but it is up to the system to ensure elections are fair. One person, one vote.
Maria Ardysheva went to her polling place. She wanted to vote for "None of the above" but that option wasn't available, so, not wishing to cause a problem, she voided her vote.
Then, thinking about the security of the election process, she went to another polling place where she appeared on the roll. She again voided her vote, but proved the point that anyone could vote more than once.
Maria wants to see "None of the above" as an option and she wants the elections to be fair.
She says "That's why I spoiled the voting-papers. I don't want to stay at home "watching this world pass me by". But I also don't like the parties we have now."
