December Second Saturday Art Walk in Folsom

Folsom's Second Saturday ArtWalk is on again, Saturday 8th December 2007.

Fike Gallery, as well as the beautiful art works added over recent months, features handcrafted Artisan Jewelry from six different artists; Cheri Anderson, Vi DeCou, Crista Dixon, Kathy Oliver, Julie Quattrin and Wes Ratlif. In addition, the Vintage Jewelry of Joanne Fabian is on display.

This week, Melange showcases Mosaic Artist Doris Bell, with her Pique Assiette Mosaics. This art form utilizes vintage and antique china to create one of a kind pieces. They range from small planters and trays to furniture, as well as custom work that can incorporate your own china for special sentimental creations.

Terri Campbell, Melange Co-owner told NewsBlaze that Doris as available to teach classes at Melange and the Learning Exchange.

Melange, located at 307 Riley St, in Historic Folsom is a Vintage Cottage Shabby Home & Garden Decor shop. There are 11 dealers/artists who share similiar, yet unique styles.

Rainbow Bridge Jewelers shows off their beautiful range of jewelry, while Jim and crew play wonderful live music. Location, 721 Sutter Street.

Planet Earth Rising at 625 Sutter Street showcases their designer "Earth Stone" Jewelry.

Cloud's Porcelain is showcasing their Christmas selections and there will be an art table at the front.

Enjoy tasting of fine wines within an art gallery at Procissi Cellars. Location: 627 Sutter Street.

American Visions Art Gallery, at 718 Sutter Street is showcasing the work of Michael Godard. Michael Godard is the "Rock Star of the Art World" and currently the number one best selling artist in the U.S. This creative and versatile rock star artist is not to be missed! The works of many other world renowned artists are also on display.

The Annual Holiday Indian Markets at Pacific Western Traders in Folsom have become a popular and much anticipated tradition. Native American Artists and Craftspeople from throughout California and the West gather to demonstrate, show and sell their work.

As 4thgenFolsomite says in teh folsom forum, "you should absolutely have checked out Pacific Western Traders. That is the most unique store on the block and when Courtney does something special, it is really unusual."

So come down to Sutter Street, let the valet park your car for free, take in the art, sample fine wine and eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Check out the fabulous Disney art at Stage Nine Theaters and take the kids in to have their photo taken with Santa. And after all of that, let us know how you enjoyed the Saturday Art Walk.
