M. MacKenzie Studio Sets Up Area Exhibitions

Michelle MacKenzie, local artist and Folsom supporter sets up Exhibitions around the local area.
Local artist Michelle MacKenzie, a longtime supporter of Folsom Arts and Crafts has created some wonderful impasto acrylics that contain tiny subtle words imparting a personal affirmations such as balance, change, faith, love and desire.
Michelle calls them her "Subtle Affirmation Series." The 6 x 6 works on canvas look great hung in a group on a wall, or placed in an easel on a bookcase or table. Michelle says "They are a great gift for an art lover's desk! I love painting these small gems."
Michelle's work is currently exhibited in several pacess around Sacramento. For the month of December, she just delivered a selection of gift priced artworks to "Hang It Up Gallery" in El Dorado Hills Town Center at 4359 Town Center Blvd.
Hang It Up Gallery
Michelle says she is so pleased to exhibit in this beautiful foothills art gallery. Her work is in good company because the gallery is home to some of California's finest painters, sculptors, glass and ceramic artists. Hang It Up Gallery owners, Dave and Suzie, offer the best in art for home or business, as well as custom framing.
SeanScapes Gallery
Since early October, Michelle's artwork is exhibited at the new SeanScapes Gallery, in Country Club Plaza Shopping Center, located at Watt and El Camino, between Macy's and Gottschalk's, next to the food court.
Note that this new gallery is only open until New Year's, so plan to visit soon.
Sunlight of the Spirit
A large selection of Michelle's "Expressions" series is exhibited at Sunlight of the Spirit book and gift store located at 2522 J Street in Midtown Sacramento. If you haven't visited them yet, you will like this wonderful little shop that sells books, candles, gifts, and art that has a spiritual message. Each month, they are open for Sacramento's Second Saturday, with a featured artist.
East/West Books
Another fantastic location for not only books and gifts, but for uplifting art, East/West Books also exhibits the "Expressions" series. More than just a bookshop, East/West offers numerous classes in Yoga and meditation, and hosts a Well-Being Fair every third Saturday from 12-5pm. They are located at 2216 Fair Oaks Blvd (at Howe Ave.)
