NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Join U-Haul on Sunday, November 11th in paying tribute to and supporting our nation's heroes, past and present. U-Haul is a key sponsor of the "We the People" Veterans Day Parade this year which honors all veterans throughout our great nation. The theme, "We the People," is meant to recognize those individuals that have not served in the military but who support, contribute to and honor veterans organizations and communities. The parade celebration will be going up Fifth Avenue and will begin at 11 a.m.

U-Haul will be honoring veterans throughout the nation and celebrating "We the People" by marching in the parade and showcasing commemorative SuperGraphic trucks which pay homage to the five branches of our military -- Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard. In addition, two other trucks will pay tribute to the Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride, dedicated to the brave men and women who have been injured during the war in Iraq and the truck representing Sept. 11th, which is dedicated to all the men, women, and children who lost their lives on this tragic day and to all the courageous souls who died trying to save them.

"We are privileged to have the chance to participate and be one of the sponsors of The 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall," stated U-Haul President John "J.T." Taylor. "U-Haul has supported our military personnel for over 60 years and our latest Commemorative SuperGraphic series honors and pays tribute to every individual who has and is fighting to defend our freedom. U-Haul will continue to lend its support to all of our military men and women, past and present, who risk their lives every day."

"On behalf of all veterans throughout the country, we salute U-Haul International in honoring our military men and women past and present," stated Patrick Gualtieri, parade chairman United War Veterans Council. "U-Haul has been a tremendous support with assisting with any needs we have in support of our veterans and troops."

U-Haul is also a sponsor of the Thank You for Serving video project headed by the United War Veterans Council. The project involves creating a video along with message boards with words of support, love and encouragement to be sent to each military base throughout the world. During the parade, U-Haul encourages participants and spectators to take the time to sign the Thank You for Serving board and send messages of encouragement to those serving overseas today.
