4th Annual Artivist Film Festival and Artivist Awards Announce the Winning Films of This Year's Festival
The Artivist Film Festival, Which Recognizes Socially Conscious Filmmakers, Has Announced the Winning Films That Will Be Honored at the Artivist Awards on November 11th, 2007 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood
Artivist Film Festival has announced the
winning films for best short and best feature film categories. The
categories include Human Rights, Children's Advocacy, Environmental
Preservation, Animal Awareness and Artivist Spirit.
The 2007 Artivist Award winners are:
"AMERICAN DRUG WAR" for Best Feature - Human Rights directed by Kevin Booth
"THE WORST JOB IN THE WORLD" for Best Short - Human Rights directed by Jens

"GLUE BOYS" for Best Feature - Children's Advocacy directed by Phil Hamer
"GIRL STARS: ANITA THE BEEKEEPER" for Best Short - Children's Advocacy

The films and film makers will be honored on November 11th at the Artivist
Awards gala hosted by Persia White ("Girlfriends") along with celebrity
presenters from TV and Film. This year's special honorees include Ted
Danson, Alyssa Milano and Claes Nobel. Previous Artivist Awards have gone
to luminaries such as Daryl Hannah, Matthew McConaughey, Joaquin Phoenix,
Mira Sorvino, Ed Begley, Jr., James Cromwell, Tippi Hedren and Mike
Farrell.
Artivist Film Festival 2007 follows three highly successful years of
previous festivals, having set the stage for great audience attendance and
media coverage. The event producers are expecting packed seats for most if
not all of the highly anticipated 60 films which will run from November 8th
to the 11th . Highlights from previous years included screenings of such
notable films as "Fast Food Nation," "Super Size Me," "The Corporation" and
"Born into Brothels."
The Artivist Film Festival is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to
creating a platform for socially conscious "Artivists" to share their
inspirational and informative films with the world.
