New White House Xmas 2007 Joins HGTV Holiday Premieres

'Gift Show 2007' and 'Holiday Windows 2007' Among Programs Highlighting Divine Holiday Trends

A sparkling season of holiday decorating, gift ideas, inspiration and fun will begin when HGTV unveils a flurry of festive new one-hour specials and special holiday episodes of popular HGTV series. From Friday, November 23 through Sunday, December 16, the programs will offer viewers an avalanche of yuletide ideas - from the hottest gift trends for kids of all ages, to enchanting and affordable room makeovers, exclusive sneak peeks inside famous retailers' spectacular holiday window displays, and a tour of America's most ostentatious holiday decor. In addition, each week beginning Tuesday, November 13, HGTV.com will unwrap online holiday content packages filled with seasonal entertaining tips and ideas, such as 'Christmas Craft Countdown' in which users will find a sackful of cool craft projects, including no-sew felt tree skirts and do-it-yourself stockings and wreaths (http://www.HGTV.com).

A perennial holiday favorite returns when HGTV visits the first family in White House Christmas 2007, premiering on Sunday, December 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. The enchanting half-hour special takes viewers inside the President's residence to see how dozens of decorators, bakers and volunteers bedeck the 'people's house' for the holidays.

Viewers will want to haul out the holly when HGTV premieres its first holiday decorating special, Decked for the Holidays on Friday, November 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Host Karen McAloon, along with guest designers Frank Fontana and Erinn Valencich, will show viewers the latest trends in seasonal style and party planning, from outdoor décor and lighting ideas to ingenious tree-trimming tips and holiday tabletops. In addition, the trio will reveal their unique design secrets as they share with viewers easy and inexpensive decorating tips using materials that can be found online at HGTV's Marketplace (www.HGTV.com/fortheholidays). Viewers also will get great gift ideas from HGTV's coverage of the country's best holiday trade shows in Gift Show 2007, premiering Sunday, November 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Hosts Shane Tallant and Sabrina Soto will reveal the latest trends and most unique gift items around, including paint-by-number clocks, art pieces made from old license plates and "stuffed" wildlife heads made entirely of beads.

In Holiday Windows 2007, premiering Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, award-winning window designers, including Paul Olszewski and Simon Doonan, will give viewers an exclusive look behind the scenes of the country's chicest top-secret holiday window displays. Viewers will see every exciting detail from the preliminary planning stages and the dramatic last-minute design moments to the big event when each exquisite window is revealed to the world. Viewers also will enjoy a different type of holiday tour in What's With That Really Decked Out Christmas House?, premiering on Sunday, December 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, when host George Gray will locate the country's most over-the-top holiday pageantry. From the California homeowner whose holiday displays melted local power lines, to the wildly popular holiday house in New York whose many visitors generated more than $100,000 for children's charities, this special will show viewers the lengths some homeowners will go to achieve the splashiest holiday display.

HGTV also will offer additional seasonal programming with special holiday-themed episodes of popular series. In Get It Together, host Chayse Dacoda will help a couple with differing tastes figure out how to blend their styles for the holidays by using a "Design Taste Test". In Deserving Design and Decorating Cents Christmas 2007, viewers will see inspirational room makeovers designed to help some deserving people through the holiday season. In addition, host and artist David Bromstad will show viewers how to create an amazing winter wonderland at home by using unexpected holiday colors on HGTV's Color Splash.

HGTV's holiday programming offers everything from the latest ideas for gifts, design and décor to the endearing family stories that will help viewers make the most of this holiday season.

Decked for the Holidays

Viewers will find everything from decor tips to creating the perfect holiday party in this one-hour special. Host Karen McAloon and guest designers Frank Fontana and Erinn Valencich will present beautiful and inspirational holiday decorating ideas that are easy to replicate. In addition, the designers will give a holiday makeover to a number of spaces in a home by using affordable materials that are found at HGTV's online marketplace.

Gift Show 2007
Premieres: Sunday, November 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
This one hour special is the ultimate gift guide! Hosts Shane Tallant and Sabrina Soto will travel to two of the country's biggest gift expos to show viewers the newest, coolest and most unique gifts available. From guys to girls and kids to co-workers, Gift Show 2007 will provide fun ideas for everyone on the gift list.

Decorating Cents
Premieres: Tuesday, November 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Joan and a crew of creative designers pitch in to help a recent widower brighten up the family home for the holidays, making some new memories for his young sons along the way. With masculine touches and kid-friendly designs on classic holiday décor, Joan's creative touches in this family's home will show viewers how to find special ways to pay tribute to loved ones during the holidays.

24 Hour Design
Premieres: Tuesday, November 27 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
Host and designer Angelo Surmelis will work his holiday magic for homeowners Steve and Susie Gerrity as he prepares their living and dining area for the holidays. Viewers will see Angelo and his design team tackle the living room layout in order to make room for the tree and creative ways to spruce up the fireplace that will showcase classic holiday style within 24 hours.

Get It Together
Premieres: Friday, November 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
This episode of Get It Together will help a couple with differing tastes figure out how to blend their styles for the holidays. Host and designer Chayse Dacoda will administer a design taste test to determine the homeowners needs and will use the results to create a stunning makeover that will be sure to bring harmony just in time for the holidays!

What's With That Really Decked Out Christmas House?
Premieres: Sunday, December 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Host George Gray will introduce viewers to the unusual folks who enjoy transforming their lawns into an out-of-this-world holiday display. This special episode of What's With That House? will take viewers inside the most talked about houses in the neighborhood to meet the characters who live there and find out why they love over-the-top holiday decorations.

Color Splash
Premieres: Monday, December 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
In this special episode of Color Splash, host and artist David Bromstad will transform a traditional home into a winter wonderland by incorporating unexpected color twists and unique holiday décor. In addition, he will show viewers how to make their own Christmas tree, demonstrate how to decorate a front porch and walkway with unusual snow-covered garland and special lighting and how to deck out a home using nontraditional holiday colors.

Deserving Design
Premieres: Wednesday, December 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Master designer Vern Yip will spread a little holiday cheer for the firefighters of an Atlanta-based station. Viewers will see the heartwarming story of how these firefighters help the less fortunate residents of the station's neighborhood celebrate with a hearty annual holiday meal. In turn, Vern will transform a room in the station into something spectacular for the firefighters who bravely and tirelessly serve their community.

Design on a Dime
Premieres: Wednesday, December 12 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
Designer and host Kahi Lee, along with Spencer Anderson and Abraham Hopkins, will create a classic Victorian Christmas with touches of elegance and fun for the Sloan family. Viewers will see Kahi use the $1000 budget to create an amazing holiday look for the family, including custom draperies, cornice boxes, special Christmas display cases and elegant paint treatments.

White House Christmas 2007
Premiere: Sunday, December 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
A perennial holiday favorite returns when HGTV visits the first family in White House Christmas 2007. Hosted by Sabrina Soto, this enchanting special takes viewers inside the President's residence to see how dozens of decorators, bakers and volunteers bedeck the 'people's house' for the holidays. Viewers will see how the yards of garland, hundreds of wreaths and nearly two dozen trees-including the breathtaking Christmas tree in the Blue Room-will be decorated and put on display for the more than 45,000 visitors expected to pass through the White House this holiday season.

Holiday Windows 2007
Premieres: Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
