Nanosphere Announces Initial Public Offering

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Nanosphere, Inc. , a nanotechnology-based molecular diagnostics company, today announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at $14.00 per share. All of the shares are being offered by Nanosphere. Nanosphere has granted to the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares of common stock at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. Nanosphere's common stock began trading today on NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol "NSPH."

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Piper Jaffray & Co., Leerink Swann LLC, and Allen & Company LLC acted as co-managers.
