Canadian Tire Purchases Recharge-It-All Batteries From ZAP
Rechargeable Lithium Battery Technology Powers Wide Range of Mobile Electronics

Electric car pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) today
announced that Canadian Tire Corporation Limited, one of Canada's largest
retailers with 468 stores, has launched sales for the ZAP Recharge-It-All
battery system and has reordered for the holiday season.
ZAP has packaged its battery technology exclusively for Canadian Tire under
the "NOMA Pocket Power Charger" brand. The new product hit stores in
September along with "Demomercials" on Canadian television highlighting the
simplicity of ZAP's battery systems. View one of the "Demomercials" online
at http://youtube.com/watch?v=PBonxFcyiAA.
ZAP also makes a line of rechargeable battery systems designed exclusively
for the iPod called iZAP. The technology incorporates advanced battery and
intelligent charging controls to provide a mobile power source for almost
any kind of portable electronic device, from cell phones, to digital
cameras, digital audio players and laptops. The systems include 13 adapter
tips for a wide variety of rechargeable devices. More than just a battery,
Recharge-It-All can automatically sense and deliver the appropriate voltage
for a range of power settings.

"The Recharge-It-All line is the off-shoot of many years of research into a
better electric car battery," said ZAP CEO Steve Schneider. "Not only is it
a great solution for today's digital workforce, developing advanced
batteries for electric cars will involve building economies of scale,
making new technologies more cost-effective through greater volume
production. So a relationship with one of Canada's premier mass retailers
will help."
Schneider said that ZAP has been testing similar battery technologies in
its Xebra® electric car and truck as well as its other electric vehicles
and expects to offer them as an upgrade in the near future.
Schneider uses the ZAP power packs when he travels to avoid what he calls
"The black screen of death," what happens when you lose power on your cell
phone or PDA on a business trip: loss of the Web browsing, E-mail, cell
service and text messaging. Schneider says that the typical business
traveler takes three different power adapters for their mobile devices when
they travel; families traveling on vacation take an average of eight
adapters. With the Recharge-It-All, you can power virtually all these
devices using one power adapter and even power or recharge two at the same
time through a USB or DC outputs.
iZAP and Recharge-It-All batteries are now in stock. In Canada, order
online under the "NOMA Pocket Power Charger" brand at
http://www.canadiantire.com. In the USA, Discovery Channel Stores is

Canadian Tire will be carrying ZAP's RX-4, RO7-PL2 and the R12
Recharge-It-All battery systems. ZAP has battery systems in several sizes
depending on your needs, from the RX4-C Universal Battery Charger for
$29.99 to power and recharge smaller electronics devices like cell phones
and digital cameras, to the M-48 for $139.99 that can power a laptop and a
smaller device at the same time. Learn more at http://www.zapworld.com.
