Top-Selling PC Tune-Up Software Scores Another Industry Accolade

Award-Winning System Mechanic(R) Software Is Now Editor's Choice

iolo technologies is pleased to announce their System Mechanic 7 Professional software suite has been named Laptop Magazine's "Editor's Choice" for October 2007.

Los Angeles-based iolo is widely known for its award-winning System Mechanic, the top selling PC tune-up software, which can reverse even years of system-clogging damage to bring computers back to like-new performance.

The System Mechanic Professional suite includes System Mechanic software, as well as Search and Recover, a rescue program for accidentally deleted files, songs and more; DriveScrubber, military-strength data wiping software that securely erases information so it can't be recovered by identity thieves and other criminals; and security must-haves iolo Personal Firewall and AntiVirus.

Laptop Magazine's Steve Smith credits System Mechanic 7 Professional's thoroughness for the win, noting, "SM7 Professional found and fixed a lot of errors the other programs overlooked or didn't even try to find."

iolo CEO Noah Rowles feels another factor in the success of System Mechanic 7 Professional is its accessibility for non-expert users. "System Mechanic gives power users and techies the option to custom-tweak settings as much as they want, but if you're a casual or business user you can easily set it up to maintain your PC's speed and performance automatically."

Smith concurs, calling System Mechanic 7 Professional, "an excellent and accessible suite of performance enhancers and problem fixers."

The win feels especially satisfying to Rowles, coming just days after being named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for the third year. "It's been a great month, " he concedes. "We're committed to making a product that's relevant, that people are going to need year in and year out. It feels good when industry experts tell us we've succeeded."

Pricing and Licensing

System Mechanic and System Mechanic Professional support Windows Vista, XP, 2000, Me, and 98. System Mechanic 7 retails for $49.95 ($29.95 for upgrades) and System Mechanic 7 Professional retails for $69.95 ($39.95 for upgrades). Both products can be used on up to 3 PCs.
