"SOLEDAD IS GONE FOREVER" Wins Best Screenplay Award at the Florida Media Market

Valdiviezo won the Best Screenplay Award with her feature length script
"SOLEDAD IS GONE FOREVER" at the FLORIDA MEDIA MARKET.
The award was given by Maria Conchita Alonso at the Florida Media Market, a
non-profit membership based organization whose goal is to educate and build
a platform where independent film & media makers meet with international
buyers, distributors and production companies to buy, sell and network.
An expansion of the short film of the same title, which was accepted to
participate at the Short Film Corner-Cannes International Film Market in
May 2007, "SOLEDAD IS GONE FOREVER" explores truth seeking and acceptance
among Chilean exiles living in San Francisco. When SOLEDAD GONZALEZ (20s),
hears that her father's body has been found in a mass grave, she returns to
her Chilean homeland to confront her father's killer, unaware that he
carries a secret that will threaten her life and challenge her to forgive
his crime.
Valdiviezo, a writer, director and Television producer based in San
Francisco, won the NYILFF-NALIP Pitch Contest in July. She participated at
the Sundance Producers Conference 2007 and was nominated for a Sundance NHK
International Filmmaker Award. She is a recipient of the Women in Film 2007
Acceleration Grant for Emerging Filmmakers.
The project is seeking an experienced Producer, to bring the feature film
to fruition.
Valdiviezo is also developing the new romantic comedy project, "PARALLEL
