Debbie Matenopoulos to Host 2007 LA Fashion Awards Presented by Saturn

Debbie Matenopoulos, host of E's "The Daily
10," the top-rated "Fashion Police" and Style Network's #1-rated show,
"Instant Beauty Pageant," will host the 2007 LA Fashion Awards. Set for
October 26th at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles' Fashion
District, the awards honor excellence in Los Angeles fashion, from
designers, retailers and communicators to the marketing geniuses who have
helped position LA as a true worldwide center of creativity and innovation.
Known for her quick wit and equally dynamic style, Matenopoulos was the
perfect choice to host, according to Jen Üner, the LA Fashion Awards
co-founder and executive producer. States Üner, "She's fresh, funny,
clearly a fashion aficionado, and so LA. She'll add great energy to the
ceremony." Confirmed presenters include award-winning vintage fashion
experts Cameron Silver & Christos Garkinos of Decades/Decades Two, fashion
editor & retailer Rose Apodaca, world-renowned accessories designer Tarina
Tarantino, and "Project Runway" favorite alum, fashion designer Nick
Verreos.
The LA Fashion Awards presented by Saturn takes place on October 26, 2007
at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, from 7pm to 9pm. Orchestra
level seating is reserved for invited industry guests, but seats are
available to the public in the Mezzanine ($65) and Balcony ($50) through

cocktail reception at 7pm, and awards ceremony at 8pm, where winners will

Meers, which will receive the Fashion Communication Award. "Project
Runway" will receive the Inspiration Award. Max Azria, founder and CEO of
BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, will receive the Wells Fargo Century Fashion Achievement
Award following a runway finale.
The stage production includes video vignettes on each of the 20 nominees
and honorees. Capsule collections will be presented on the runway from the
Moss Adams Fashion Innovator nominees Rami Kashou, Jasmin Shokrian, and
Wells Fargo Century Fashion Achievement honoree Max Azria. Key looks from
the Supima Denim Designer of the Year nominees -- 7 for all mankind,
GoldSign, Paige Premium Denim, J Brand and Oligo Tissew -- will be
showcased in a unique group presentation.
Saturn is the presenting title sponsor of the LA Fashion Awards. Los
Angeles Times IMAGE leads the slate of Official Media Sponsors, as the
co-host of several VIP receptions leading up to the Awards, and the
official VIP after party now scheduled at Mode, a very new (soon-to-open)
fashion-themed downtown dining establishment from Tony Jones and the
