New Card Games Improve Vocabulary, Youth Communication Skills, Fast Thinking
It's not easy growing up these days. Kids need all the help they can get. And if you can make learning some of life's most difficult lessons fun for the whole family and your friends, well you can't get better than that.
A highly skilled psychiatrist, Dr. Michael Rayel, has created two new fun and mentally challenging card games specially designed to develop vocabulary, emotional intelligence, communication and thinking skills.
Wordigy Jr.
For 8 and up, two to six players.
Wordigy is a portable vocabulary building tool that can improve reading and spelling. It is a word rummy game with 140 cards, each with a letter and a value (values range from 1 to 5; the same letter can have different values on different cards). On each turn, draw a card, discard a card, and you win if you can form a word with all but one of your cards. The number of cards dealt to each player increases from 3 to 5 as the game goes along. Players discard and draw in turn until someone can spell a word using all but one of their cards. There are two ways to play and instructions for each are provided.
Actus Tale: Show and tell your way to amazing fun!
For 8 and up! Two to six players
Actus Tale is an interactive game designed to improve emotional intelligence and foster expression of thoughts and feelings in different life situations. If a player picks a green Expression Card, the player answers the question on the card. Select an Action Card and the player performs the task on the card. The other players rate the answer or performance on a scale of 1 to 3. By expressing or acting out emotional situations, it can potentially improve emotional and social skills. It is a great way to get people to open up, reveal and share a little about themselves and get to know each other better.
"Share your thoughts. Act your part. Whatever you say or do, someone else has the last say! An amazing interactive game for the whole family."
