Christina Martin Wraps Up Fiscal Year 2007
Rock music, film festivals, product
placement, political fundraising -- that almost sums up 2007 for Christina
Martin, President of the boutique consulting firm, Equity Strategic
Relations. In this year, Martin has launched a powerful industry luncheon
series, created and produced Pointfest's first artists' lounges backstage,
raised funds and support for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, and
engaged several significant deals for television and mobile content based
upon her work with rock stars.
Wrapping up an incredibly successful year, Martin reflects upon some of the
highlights. "All the big annual events for me -- Oscars, Emmys, Grammys,
VMAs, Sundance, Toronto -- were especially memorable this year, full of
poignant moments, the kind that belong in a book some day."

When thinking of 2007 and Christina Martin, one might remember her
consulting Final Draft, the industry's leading script-writing software; her
hosting the 30 Under 30 Awards honoring laudable stars like Chamillionaire
and Andrew McMahon; her personally delivering gift bags to Hollywood Radio
& Television Society's HRTS Kids Day; and her representing "Aqua Teen
Hunger Force"'s voice of Master Shake, Dana Snyder.
Martin recollects lessons from the year, including on-set in Pittsburgh
with Danny Masterson and Blair Underwood. "It was Blair's first time
directing and I felt very lucky to see that firsthand. I learned so much
from watching him." In addition to Masterson, the cast included Ben
Crowley, Bijou Phillips, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Ving Rhames. Produced by
Smithfield Street Productions, led by Mike Wittlin, the film is titled "The
Bridge to Nowhere."
"2007 has been a pivotal year for Equity," comments Martin, "and what am I
most looking forward to in 2008? To see many of the artists I am cheering
for, to see them succeed." Martin's dedication to deserving talent remains
the motivation behind her drive to influence media and public opinion.
Artists at the top of her list: "King Thief, The Go, The Ruse, Mink,
Operator, Rooney, Solarcade, Marty Casey Lovehammers, White Starr, Mickey
Avalon -- on the music side. In film/TV -- Joshua LeBar, Rex Lee, Jojo
Holland, Mirelly Taylor, A.J. Buckley, Lyriq Bent, Shaun Toub, DJ Rossstar,
Paulie Litt, Holly Bonelli."
With the approach of 2008, it's clear the year holds a lot in store for
Martin. As an election year, Martin is vying to see Hillary Clinton become
the first female president of the United States. There is also talk that
Martin may soon resume work in the investment industry, which she left in
2003, departing a $9 billion fixed income fund as Vice President at the age
of 25.
