Ahold Update on share buyback program
Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold today announced that it has
repurchased 7,699,486 of its own common shares in the period from
October 1, 2007 up to and including October 5, 2007. Shares were
repurchased at an average price of EUR 10.6596 per share for a total
amount of EUR 82.07 million. These repurchases were made as part of the
EUR 1 billion share buyback program announced on August 30, 2007.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is
53,655,465 common shares for a total consideration of EUR 556.6 million.
