Judyth Piazza and Pete Mongelli Discuss ScreamFest Oct. 19-21

What do Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Amanda from "Saw", Pinhead, Jason Voorhees, Otis from Devil's Rejects and the Creature from the Black Lagoon have in common?
They're all appearing at Screamfest, Florida's largest horror convention Oct. 19-21 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
"We're trying to do something special with our event. For starters we have classic horror legends like Robert Englund who will be making his only Orlando appearance with us this year and new icons like Shawnee Smith from the super popular Saw franchise," said Petey Mongelli, Screamfest organizer.
Besides the actors who played the characters listed above, other horror related guests including Betsy Palmer (Mrs. Voorhees/Friday the 13th), David Naughton (American Werewolf in London), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Gunnar Hansen (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Bill Hinzman (Night of the Living Dead) and Harry Manfredinni (Friday the 13th composer) among many others.
"It's definitely a who's who of horror," Mongelli said.
But Screamfest isn't just about horror actors. It also features artists utilizing a variety of mediums to get across their spooky visions of life. Both Friday and Saturday nights of the convention will include music from performers like Voltair, Creature Feature, The Undertaker and his Pals, The Vaude Villains, Bad Ash, The Van Orsdels, Gargamel and the Green Goblyn Project.
"Music is an important part of our convention. It's not an after thought and we pride ourselves in bringing in some of the top talent in the horror music underground," Mongelli said.
Legendary horror artist Basil Gogos will return offering autographed prints of his many "Famous Monsters of Filmland" covers and other artwork. Other artists include Gris Grimly, Dave Cook and Uncle Pigors of Toxic Toons.
"We're also going to have some of the very best horror tattoo artists set up to work their magic. So if you want to tribute your favorite horror character in ink this will be your chance," Mongelli said.
Attendees will get a chance to get their hands on some unique art they can take home as Spooky Empire Inc. and Comahead2.com are proud to announce the premier of "The 3 Faces of Evil"; a 3-piece, silk screened, event poster set, numbered and signed by the artists.
This is the first time in horror convention history that three different silk screened posters by three uniquely different artists will be made available for purchase.
Each poster will be separately illustrated by one of today's top cutting edge artists showcasing their amazing and unique style. Famed New Orleans artist Allen Jaeger, best known for his work with Skinny Puppy, Ministry, the Misfits, Pantera, Anne Rice and countless others will be utilizing his monstrous style to illustrate horror icon "Freddie Krueger".
World renowned Psychedelic artist, Mikio Kennedy, whose long time partnerships include The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, The Allman Bros, Santana and numerous others will be inking the one and only "Pinhead". Last, but not least, Pop Culture legend Greg "Stainboy" Reinel whose clients include Joan Jett, The New York Dolls, Mastodon, The Melvin's and others will be handling art for the famous Universal Monsters character...the "Creature from the Black Lagoon"
