HOT AIR = Politicians
by Will Roberts
(Transcription of audio podcast)
All I know is what I read on the internet! And lately I have been reading a lot about alternative energy. So, I put on my thinking cap- My Solar thinking cap, because here in AZ we have sun, so I am fully charged and ready to tackle this issue.
When I was a kid, I had a solar radio that got a few AM stations... it was effective in getting the weather report which, if it was good... the next day I would have enough power to listen to the baseball game.
I also had a solar flashlight, which seemed odd because you needed light to charge the light.
Luckily, things have changed ... you almost don't need sun to power solar panels nowadays. I now have a solar powered scale that comes on and flashes when you turn on the bathroom light. Which is NOT a good way to wake up or go to bed. Anyhow, all this talk about alternative energy got me to think and I came up with a NEW form of energy.
HOT AIR. We float balloons, dry clothes with it. Keeps us warm, could even start a fire if it gets hot enough. I know you folk are saying to yourselves... Will, where are we going to get this natural hot air? Well, folks, the biggest bunch of hot air comes from Washington DC and our politicians. They have enough hot air to keep a third world country warm at night. Enough wind that if we put sails on our warships at sea, we could breeze right into ports and never be heard. And all we need to feed these politicians in Washington is the hopes of re-election. We might get enough power saved up to keep those politicians around awhile... alarm clock. Oh well, good bye.

Will Roberts has enjoyed many successes in his career. From being a television host for Fox and CBS to gaining praise in many of his theatrical, film and television appearances, Roberts has always strived for one thing...perfection. But at heart... Will Roberts is a cowboy. It is his passion. He performs the preeminent tribute to Will Roger's...America's Cowboy. Just like Will, Roberts is an expert with a rope and one of the quickest wits with current events. Onstage Will Roger's comes to life, for many, for the first time. For others, it is like seeing an old friend who was "away" for a while. Will Roberts' show is very much like Will Rogers' show was in the vaudeville days (Ziegfeld Follies) minus the 50 show girls. He trick ropes and spins the daily events as he converses with the audience.
