Sterling Common Shares to Commence Trading on the TSX

Sterling Mining Company (OTCBB: SRLM)(FRANKFURT: SMX) announces that further to the conditional approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") to list its common shares (see press release dated August 2, 2007), the Company has now satisfied all conditions of the TSX, such that the common shares of Sterling will commence trading on October 2, 2007 under the symbol "SMQ".
