Advanced Recycling Sciences, Inc. Signs Agreement in Sao Paulo, Brazil With Prominent Brazilian Industrial Group IESA-Projectos Equipmentos e Montegens S.A.

Advanced Recycling Sciences, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ARYC) ("ARS"), a leader in innovative products and technologies for the
tire and rubber recycling industry, announced that Ehrenfried Liebich, the
ARS Chairman, recently signed a Memo of Understanding (MOU) in Sao Paulo,
Brazil with IESA-Projectos Equipmentos e Montegens S.A. (IESA), represented
by Atilano de Oms Sobrinho/Chairman. IESA is a leading Brazilian industrial
group, with local operations spanning Oil and Gas, Construction & Assembly,
Heavy equipment production and electrical systems and equipment.
The MOU calls for IESA to collaborate in building a new generation of
Compact granulation technology using proprietary equipment designs owned by
the ARS wholly owned subsidiary Eurectec, Inc., which specializes in
marketing proprietary compact scrap tire granulation technologies and
related after-market rubber product manufacturing who has several
international projects already completed in Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia
and China.
This new purpose built Compact granulation machine is the first of a kind
for passenger tire, truck, OTC tire and industrial rubber recycling in the
world, which breaks down a tire into its original components of steel,
fabric and crumb rubber used in multiple product areas including: door and
gym mats, insulation and sound absorption membranes, irrigation soaker
hoses, and synthetic sports surfacing for running tracks; however, the
largest application is by far with rubberized asphalt. Modified rubberized
asphalt has been used successfully in the US for many years and is adopted
as an excellent road surface membrane by many US states. The benefits
include 2-3 times life expectancy, reduced noise levels by up to 7 decibels
and shorter braking distances with reduced spray effects in wet weather
making the material a sound environmental and safer road surface for
motorists. See www.ast-paving.com for further information. Also, ARS, via
its subsidiary Revultec, Inc., is currently developing a super critical
fluid based devulcanization technology designed for use in new tire
manufacture as well as for other butyl rubber applications in construction
products like sealants and roofing membranes.
The Compact granulation equipment development program will be undertaken as
soon as practical and a new generation Compact granulation will be designed
and built in Brazil, where the technology can be demonstrated to potential
customers. As the project develops, machines will be installed in the USA,
Europe and Asia creating a global sales platform for the future sales
development of this new technology.
The first Compact granulation machine (capable of processing scrap tires
into crumb rubber in sizes ranging from 1-4 mm) is expected to be available
for demonstration in Brazil during Q2 2008 and Eurectec will embark on an
aggressive sales campaign immediately thereafter to conclude a number of
potential projects which have already been identified.
IESA is one of the largest industrial companies in Latin America with over
4,200 employees with more than 9 million square feet of industrial
manufacturing facilities which all have full 6-Sigma and ISO certifications
and industry ratings.
Atilano de Oms Sobrinho, the IESA Chairman, commented, "We are very excited
to expand our manufacturing capacity into the field of environmental
technologies starting with a line of Eurectec Compact granulators and we
look forward to the launch of this new and innovative technology with
Advanced Recycling Sciences, Inc."
