MARKEM CoLOS(TM) Software Upgrade Offers Advanced Image Design and Networking

Certified for the Microsoft(R) Vista Operating System

MARKEM Corporation has introduced the CoLOS(TM) software upgrade, a suite of fully integrated coding and labeling solutions including networked hardware and support, for centralized image data and improved control over the entire coding process.

As Microsoft® introduces the latest in operating systems, MARKEM -- a Microsoft Certified Partner -- is keeping pace with upgrades to its image design tools. CoLOS represents a new category of coding software solutions certified for Microsoft's Vista operating system. Soon, previous versions of MARKEM's software will no longer be available; therefore an upgrade for existing customers will prevent any costly line interruptions. Customers can switch from CimControl® or Composer(TM) to CoLOS for a smooth and safe migration of their existing images.

The CoLOS software suite offers simple, flexible code set-up combined with effective network management to improve coding performance and reduce errors.

CoLOS Create Professional allows single and multi-site manufacturing and packaging companies to easily and accurately design, download and manage complex label and code images, including logos and graphics that comply with worldwide supply chain and GS1 standards. GS1 shipment formats include UCC.EAN and SSCC codes.

Other key features of CoLOS Create Professional include 'Job Manager' for visibility and control of the coding process and the ability to communicate with non-MARKEM equipment. Security controls can be set to ensure that only authorized people have access to the functions they need.

CoLOS Create Professional is combined with a powerful networking facility to form CoLOS Enterprise. This gives multi-line and multi-site manufacturers and packaging companies enterprise-level coding control. CoLOS Enterprise includes a complete network control package allowing centralized coder and label design management to improve line efficiency and ensure labeling compliance.

CoLOS Enterprise, with SAP® certification connections available, offers seamless integration with industry-standard factory systems. The software comes in a wide range of languages to allow multi-site users to introduce best practice code management wherever their products are manufactured and packed.

The CoLOS software suite also includes CoLOS Pallet which is a standard pallet labeling application that integrates with ERP systems for multi-line and multi-site manufacturers to eliminate risk and facilitate pallet traceability.
