"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" Kicks Off Its Sixth Season September 10th, 2007
$100,000 to Be Given Away to Home Viewers During "Millionaire's Grand Giveaway," to Celebrate Game Show's Upcoming 1,000th Episode; Sweepstakes Entry Starts Monday, September 10th

"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" kicks off its
sixth season in national syndication with Emmy Award-winning host, Meredith
Vieira, on September 10, 2007. An audience favorite since its syndication
premiere in 2002, the hit game show prepares to mark its 1,000th episode
this November.
"Millionaire" will dedicate an entire week of programming, from November 5
- 9, to commemorate this landmark event. During the week, "Millionaire"
will give away $100,000 to home viewers in "Millionaire's Grand Giveaway"
Sweepstakes. Entry for the sweepstakes will take place September 10 - 30,
2007 at www.millionairetv.com. Each day, from November 5 - 9, Vieira will
announce 20 names of viewers who will each win $1,000. Throughout the
week, 100 winners will be announced and $100,000 will be handed out.

During the week-long celebration, contestants are guaranteed to win at
least $1,000, courtesy of "Millionaire." For the first time in the game
show's history, contestants will not be required to answer the first five
questions (valued at $100 - $1,000). Instead, they will start at the
$2,000 level, with all three lifelines intact, and will be only 10
questions away from winning $1,000,000. The specialty week also will
feature congratulatory messages from various celebrities and highlights
from the past five seasons, including some of "Millionaire's" most
memorable moments and bloopers that never made it to the air.
"With six seasons and nearly 1,000 episodes -- this year marks a major
milestone for us," says Executive Producer Michael Davies. "Thanks to the
efforts of Meredith, our behind-the-scenes team and an audience of die-hard
trivia fans, the show has truly become a pop culture phenomenon."
"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" is produced by Valleycrest Productions and
is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Michael Davies and Leigh
Hampton are executive producers. Meredith Vieira is co-executive producer.
"Millionaire" is directed by Matthew Cohen. Go to www.millionairetv.com
