Crossfire War - Iran Continues Bombardment of Kurdish Area on Iraq Border
By Willard Payne
Crossfire War - TEHRAN - ANKARA - BAGHDAD - West Asia Theatre: Tehran - Baghdad - Damascus - Ankara/Sulaymaniyah - Mosul - Arbil - Kirkuk; Iran Bombardment of Kurdish Border Area Displaces Hundreds of Kurdish Families
Night Watch: SULAYMANIYAH - The Kurdish weekly Hawlati reports for the past few days Iranian artillery from the Revolutionary Guards-Pasdaran have been bombarding the Kurdish border region with Iran that has caused the displacement of hundreds of Kurdish families from villages in the area. An anti-Iran Kurdish group the PJAK, similar to the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK), which has been fighting Turkey since 1984, uses the region being targeted. An official of the Pasdaran stated the bombardment of the area would continue as long as Iran's "enemies" are operating from there. This is not just a policy of Tehran but a regional one, an understanding from every government in West Asia (Middle East) that under no conditions should the Kurdish community be allowed to unite into one nation since it would mean the loss to territory to Iraq-Syria-Turkey-Iran. It would redraw the map of the entire region and disrupt the economic and political base of every affected country. [

Even if the Kurdish nation was established, it could easily mean hostile relations with every neighboring country. This is no longer an undeclared war. Unreported bombardments and air strikes by Ankara against PKK bases in northern Iraq take place on a regular basis as a prelude to Turkey's invasion. That is why World War III will become more obvious in September than it is now.
