Pet owners can quickly scan product listings to learn if ingredients are from US sources or from outside the US, human grade/quality ingredients or lesser quality pet grade/quality ingredients, if the product contains any potentially dangerous ingredients (known as red flag ingredients examples being by-products and chemical preservatives such as BHA/BHT and ethoxyquin), and are rated from 'No Score' to the highest '5 Paw Print' score.

Even before the giant pet food recall natural, healthier pet foods and treats is the growing trend. The problem for pet owners has been separating the advertising/marketing information from the real thing.
