MediaTile Cellular Digital Signage Lights Up Knoxville Raceway in Record Time for Sprint Car Finals
Facility-Wide Digital Signage System Deployed in Less Than One Day to Entertain, Educate and Inform More Than 90,000 Visiting Fans

MediaTile today announced the successful
deployment of a cellular digital signage network at the Knoxville Raceway,
for the US National Sprint Car Championship, with more than 90,000 visitors
in attendance. The facility-wide communications system was a hit with fans
as it continually broadcasted driver standings, interviews, event
highlights, concession stand promotions, and the winner's circle.
MediaTile's cellular broadband digital signage system eliminated the need
to add any on-site network cables or wi-fi access points, servers or other
infrastructure, and enabled the system to be deployed and fully operational
in less than a day.
"MediaTile enabled us to deploy a facility-wide broadcast network quickly
and easily, without the need to add networking or connect the signs to
anything except power," said Brian Stickel, Marketing Director, Knoxville
Raceway. "Getting the entire system up and running took less than a day,
and was deployed without any reconfiguration of our facility. Its
plug-and-play capability and its easy-to-use web-based control center made
this the ideal solution for us."
The Knoxville Raceway, known as the "Sprint Car Capital of the World,"
deployed a combination of 32" and 42" MediaTile Digital-Sign-in-a-Box
displays throughout their facility including main entry ways, concession
stand areas, the VIP room and private viewing boxes. The MediaTile
deployment kicked off the arena's 47th Annual Sprint Car National
Championship to enhance the fan racing experience by broadcasting racing
highlights, driver interviews, race results, and merchandise and food
services available in the concession area. Thanks to the MediaTile
displays, concession sales rose by more than 12% over the 3-day event.
"The MediaTile solution is unparalleled in its simplicity and
sophistication," said Keith Kelsen, CEO and Chairman of The MediaTile
Company. "From a single web-browser you can control a network of one to
one thousand displays without adding any networking gear at each location.
The secret is our integrated cellular-based networking capability that
enables more companies to deploy digital signage and Television-like
broadcast networks in far more places than ever before -- in banks,
convenience stores, on gas-pumps, retail stores, lobbies and facilities."
MediaTile displays are individually or collectively controlled using the
MediaTile Broadcast Portal -- a hosted, web-based application that
eliminates the need for customers to license, download or configure any
software or servers to control their virtual broadcast network. The
MediaTile Broadcast Portal is a secure, hosted application that is
accessible from any standard web-browser.
