Blackdog Resources Ltd. Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, ALBERTA - (Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2007) - Blackdog Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DOG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Legere-Tetzlaff as Chief Financial Officer effective August 22, 2007.

Ms. Legere-Tetzlaff has over 12 years experience in various industries including oil and gas, primarily with publicly traded companies, most recently at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Ms. Legere-Tetzlaff is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. She will assume responsibility for the company's accounting, financial reporting and analysis and will be involved in public disclosure oversight.
