Folsom Thursday Night Market Final Evening Ends with Coolest Jazz
By Alan Gray, NewsBlaze
It was the final Thursday Night Market for 2007. The temperature was up at 101 degrees around 6pm, but that didn't stop people enjoying the market, especially when the breeze moved in before the light faded out.
If you didn't come down, you missed probably the coolest Jazz that has been heard in the street.
There's a big round of thanks this week, for everyone who came down to the market, some came every week, others once or twice. Some walked, some commuted, some came from Florida, the Bay area and other local cities. We appreciate you all for coming down and making the markets a success.
A big thank you also to the stallholders, the farmers, the food providers, the arts and crafts sellers, the artists and musicians, the small and home businesses, the vehicle dealers, did I mention the Red Rooster Waffles and the beautiful fruit from the farmers? Sutter Street merchants also participated and supported the market.
A big thanks to the Police - on foot, on horses and on bikes. Thanks for being here and for keeping us safe. Thanks to Lori and her team of workers who organized everything and made everything run and then cleaned up the mess after we went home.
I enjoyed talking to people so much that I forgot to take photos, so there is only a small selection this week. Be sure to check out previous stories to see your photo or your friends.
Thank you all for being part of the show!
