Investors Real Estate Trust Joins S&P REIT Composite Index
Investors Real Estate Trust (NASDAQ: IRETS)
announced today that the Company has been added to Standard & Poor's REIT
Composite Index. The Company was added to the index after the close of
trading on August 3, 2007.
Introduced in 1997, the S&P REIT Composite Index measures the securitized
U.S. real estate investment trust (REIT) market, and covers approximately
89% of U.S. REIT market capitalization. Designed as a market indicator,
the index consists of 100 REITs that are selected for market representation
according to geography and property type. All securities added to the S&P
U.S. REIT Composite Index meet the index's liquidity, price, and market
capitalization requirements.
